Who Else Supports CUNY MGI?

In addition to the services of the five partner colleges and the Office of Academic Affairs, CUNY MGI receives important support from several outside partners to make its programs even better:

The Creative Arts Team, a leader in educational theater, provides in-class workshops at all partner schools each spring. Professional actor teachers from CAT engage students in interactive classroom theater.

Community Works, a multi-cultural arts organization dedicated to improving educational attainment, provides tickets to its citywide professional performance series.

Baruch College Student Academic Consulting Center (SACC), an award-winning tutor training program that provides training to all MGI tutors and state-of-the art facilities for professional development, parent, and student events.

As a GEAR UP recipient, MGI also receives support from the New York State Higher Education Services Bureau (HESC), the lead agency for GEAR UP in New York State and state partners such as the College Board, the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU), and the State University of New York (SUNY).
